SOCIETY.

CAPITAL £600,000.

ASSURANCES may be effected on the Lives of all persons whose names are, or have been, during any period however short, on the Books or Boards of any College or Hall, at either of the Universities of OXFORD or CAMBRIDGE.

Note. Assurances may be effected on the Lives of such persons against the Lives of any person whatsoever.

A division of profits is made every five years, and four-fifths appropriated to the ASSURED, either by a diminution of the rate of Premium, or by an increase of the amount of the Policy, at the option of the party.

The Society will be always ready to purchase from the party in possession any unexpired Policy.

Proposals for Assurances to be addressed to the SECRETARY, or to JOHN WRAY, Esq. Chairman of the Committee, at the Office of the Society, No. 24, Suffolk Street, Pall Mall East, London; or to the Corresponding Directors, the Rev. J. W. HUGHES, Oxford, and H. GUNNING, Esq. Cambridge, from whom proposals may be obtained.

N.B. Total addition to Policies, made by the UNIVERSITY LIFE ASSURANCE SOCIETY, in the years 1830 and 1835, amount on a Policy for £1,000, as follows:

PERSONS wishing to effect an ASSURANCE, must state the Name, Residence, and Profession of the Party on whose behalf the ASSURANCE is proposed, and of the Party whose Life is proposed to be Assured; the College at which the latter party has been entered; the place and date of birth; the age next birth-day; whether married or single; whether he has resided abroad, and if so, where, and for what period; whether he has been employed in the military or naval service; whether he has had the small-pox, the cow- pox, or the gout; whether he has been since his childhood afflicted with rupture, fits, insanity, dropsy, asthma, or spitting of blood; whether during the last seven years he has been afflicted with any severe or constitutional disease or disorder; the sum proposed to be Assured; and the term for which the ASSURANCE is required.

Reference must also be given to two respectable persons for information, as to his present and general state of health,
