STATE OF IOWA, AUDITOR'S OFFICE, The following is an accurate statement of the receipts and expenditures of the public money, for the two years commencing on the 1st day of November, 1869, and ending on the 4th day of November, 1871, both days inclusive: The balance remaining in the State treasury at the close of the fiscal year, October 30th, 1869, as shown by my predecessor's report, was $303,198.86. There was received into the State treasury during the past two years, from all sources, the sum of $2,206,357.33, which added to the above amount on hand makes the sum of $2,509,556.19, and the disbursements by the State Treasurer during the same period amounted to $2,413,586.93, leaving in the State treasury, November 4th, 1871, the sum of $95,969.26.
