As there are 25000 drunkards in the United States, who have all received the rudiments of their education at one seminary in the town of Temperate Drinking; admitting the life of the drunkard to be 10 years, and as said town sends out annually a regular supply of well educated beings to keep the ranks filled, how many attend the seminary in said town upon the supposition that 3 years are required to become well qualified to discharge the office of the drunkard?

How many miles square is it, allowing 14 acres to each pupil? And how many years will it require, reserving 2 acres on which to erect in monument, to have the whole of the town of Temperate Drinking, set off to the town of Total Abstinence, admitting the petitioners to the high Court of Public Opinion have their request granted to have half of the town of Temperate Drinking, that remain from year to year set off annually to that of Total Abstinence until the whole is obtained with the exception of the 2 acres?
