In the following examples first determine which short process can be used in solving each example. This will test your ability to simplify your work by the use of short-cuts.

Then solve each example by the short-cut selected for it. This work will test your habit of accuracy.

If you want to test your speed, first work the examples in full. Then do them again, using short processes. Make a note of the time taken in each case. Compare.

Write the results only to the following:

1. 56 pounds at 25¢.

2. 24 lbs @ 121¢.

3. 48 qts. @ 16. 4. 72 yds. @ 371⁄2¢. 5. 21 lbs. @ 331⁄2¢. 6. 352 yds. @ 12. 7. 1320 lbs. @ 163¢. 8. 56 yds. @ 10¢. 9. 28 lbs. @ 50¢. 10. 48.8 lbs. @ 124¢. 11. 56.04 lbs. @ 16.
