It was remarked above, that what is called one foot of wood, is 16 solid feet, and that 8 such feet make 1 cord. To find how many of these feet a pile or load of wood contains, it is necessary to find the number of solid feet in it, and then to divide by 16. Find how much each dollar is to pay, and make a table, containing the portion for 1, 2, 3, &c. to 10 dollars, then for 20, 30, 40, &c. to 100, and then for 200, 300, &c.
