Description.— Is a species of gneiss, held in suspension in the waters of the mineral springs of Gastein, Germany, which take their rise from the foot of the Tauern Mountains. The trituration first used was made from the gneiss rock. Dr. v. Grauvogl, the discoverer of this remedy, calls it a white, primitive, calcium gneiss. The springs are probably the most reliable sources from which it can be obtained. PREPARATIONS.
