CHANCELLOR's ENGLISH POEM.

On the death of the Marquess Camden, the late Chancellor of the University. N.B. The Exercises are to be sent in to the Vice-Chancellor on or before March 31, and are not to exceed 200 lines in length.

MEMBERS' PRIZES.

Bachelors. In legibus ferendis, quid propositi habere debeat qui pœnas peccatis irrogat; et quænam sit adhibenda suppliciorum mensura?

Undergraduates.-Poetis ea maxima laus est, si summis ingenii dotibus ita utantur, ut virtutis amorem alant.

Greek Ode." Principissa faustis auspiciis recens nata." Latin Ode.-"Annuus exactis conpletur mensibus orbis." "Hoc est

Greek Epigram. { Vivere bis, vita posse priore frui.”

Latin Epigram." Vehicula vi vaporis impulsa."

The Greek Ode is not to exceed twenty-five, and the Latin Ode thirty Stanzas.

The Greek Ode must be accompanied by a literal Latin Prose Version.

PORSON PRIZE.

SHAKSPEARE, Tempest. Act iv. Scene 1.

Beginning......"This is most strange :"

And ending...." To still my beating mind."

The metre to be Tragicum Iambicum Trimetrum Acatalecticum. These Exercises are to be accentuated, and accompanied by a literal Latin Prose Version.

The above Exercises are to be sent in on or before April 30.

NORRISIAN PRIZE.

"Both in the Old and New Testament everlasting life is offered to mankind only through Christ."

The Essays are to be sent in on or before the tenth day preceding the Sunday in passion week.

HULSEAN PRIZE.

"The use and value of the Writings of the Ancient Fathers considered as auxiliary to the proof of the truth of the Christian Religion, and to the elucidation of its doctrines."

The Dissertations are to be sent in on or before the 20th of October.

SEATONIAN PRIZE.

The Call of Abraham.

The Exercises are to be sent in on or before the 29th of September.
