10. Kate gave 2 pieces of candy to each of her 6 friends. How many pieces did she give to her friends?

Find 8 blackboard erasers. Arrange them in groups of 2's. How many groups have you? How many 2's are in 8?

To find how many groups of 2's there are in a number, you divide the number by 2. When you arrange 8 in groups of 2's you divide 8 by 2.
