Excerpt from The Law Life Insurance: With a Chapter on Accident Insurance

I have doubtless made errors, both of omission and commission, and shall be obliged to any one who will call my attention to them. The plan of the work is also perhaps open to criticism, but it has been adopted, after due consideration of its advantages and dis advantages, as applicable to the particular subject treated. I may at least, fairly claim for this volume that it contains the fullest presentation, which has yet appeared, of the law of Life and Acci dent Insurance, as found in the decided cases of America, England, Ireland and Scotland. My professional brethren will place me under obligations if they will kindly forward to me reports of any cases of Life or Accident Insurance which may, from time to time, come under their notice.

In conclusion, I acknowledge my indebtedness to several of the State Reporters and to members of the bar, for unpublished opinions and for numerous courtesies.
