COUNCIL CHAMBER, } The Council of the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Arizona was called to order by the Hon. H. M. Van Arman, Secretary of the Territory of Arizona, January 12, 1885, at 10 o'clock A. M. There being no quorum present, the Council stood adjourned until January 13th, at 10 o'clock A. M. HOUSE. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, Thirteenth Legislative Assembly, Territory of Arizona, At 12 o'clock M. House of Representatives of the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Arizona was called to order by A. E. Fay, Chief Clerk of the Twelfth Legislative Assembly. On motion of Hon. De Forrest Porter, of Maricopa, House adjourned until Tuesday, 13th inst., at 10 o'clock A. M. COUNCIL. COUNCIL CHAMBER, PRESCOTT, A. T., Tuesday, January 13, 1885. The Council met pursuant to adjournment. } J. H. Carpenter, Chief Clerk of the Council of the Twelfth Legislative Assembly, in the chair. There being no quorum present, Council stood adjourned until 8 o'clock P. M. After recess. J. H. Carpenter in the chair. Roll called. Present: Messrs. Ainsworth, Bailey, Bridwell, Dorrington, Harwood, Howell, Leatherwood, Stover, Stewart, Stephens, Todd and Weedin-12. Mr. J. W. Dorrington was placed in nomination for Temporary President, by Mr. W. G. Stewart. Mr. R. B. Todd was placed in nomination for Temporary President, by Mr. T. F. Weedin. The first ballot by acclamation resulted in a tie. The second ballot by acclamation resulted in a tie. The third ballot by acclamation resulted in a tie. Upon motion the Council stood adjourned until January 14th, at 10 o'clock A. M. Nominations for Temporary Chairman being in order, Messrs. Purdy and Nichols were placed in nomination. Two ballots were taken, both resulting in a tie-12 to 12. On motion of Mr. Rollins, House adjourned until Wednesday, January 14th inst., at 10 o'clock A. M. COUNCIL. COUNCIL CHAMBER, PRESCOTT, A.
