The Oxford Dictionary

A new English Dictionary on historical principles. Founded mainly on the materials collected by the Philological Society, and edited by Sir JAMES MURRAY. Imperial 4to.

The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths has contributed Five Thousand Pounds towards the cost of Volume VI.

In ten Volumes or twenty Half-volumes

Eight Volumes (sixteen Half-volumes) have now been published, and at October 1914 the Dictionary was complete from A to Spring with substantial portions of T.

A Section of 64 pages at 2s. 6d., or now usually a double Section of 128 pages, at 5s. or, more rarely, a treble Section, is issued quarterly; volumes I-V in halfmorocco £2 12s. 6d. each (Vols. VI and VII, £3 5s. each, Vol. VIII, £3 10s.); half-volumes in half-persian each £1 7s. 6d. (MN, Ph-Py, and QR, £2 2s. 6d. each; S-Sh, £1 10s.) or £24 7s. 6d. for the sixteen now ready (half-volumes can also be obtained in half-morocco). 'Parts' (generally the equivalent of five sections and each 12s. 6d.) whenever ready; the last Parts issued (Oct. 1914) are Ti-Trinity, 15s., and Sniggle-Splenetic, 12s. 6d.
