5. Ned sold newspapers one summer. One week his

sales were: Monday, 19 papers; Tuesday, 31; Wednesday, 24; Thursday, 36; Friday, 35; Saturday, 47. How many papers did he sell that week?

6. Find the total cost of a 25-cent dust brush, a 65-cent broom, and an 8-cent cake of soap.

7. Sarah sold 36 Christmas seals, Ann 55, Edith 28, and Mary 9. How many seals did they all sell?

These children are playing Bean Bags. They are divided into two teams, the Reds and the Blues. team tosses six bean bags in turn. If a bag goes through the hole marked 4, it counts 4 points for that team; hole 3 counts 3 points, and so on. If the bag fails to go through any hole, the throw count is 0. The score is on the board; the side making the largest score wins.

Try this game. Circles on the floor may be used in place of the holes in the board.
