Waldemar Heckel is Professor in the Department of Greek and Roman Studies at the University of Calgary, Canada. Yardley, Blackwell, 2003), The Conquests of Alexander the Great (2007), and Alexander the Great: A New History (with L.A. Tritle, Wiley-Blackwell, 2009).
