County Commissioners-Construct Roads.

8 An Act to amend section seven of an act entitled, "An act authorizing Boards of County Commissioners to construct gravel, macadamized, or paved roads, upon petition of a majority of resident land owners along and adjacent to the line of any road, authorizing them to issue bonds of the county to raise money required for that purpose, and provide for the payment of such bonds by taxing land adjacent to the road, repealing all laws inconsistent herewith, and declaring an emergency," approved March 3, 1877. Cities, Towns-Issue Bonds.

9 An Act to amend sections one and two of an act entitled, "An act to authorize cities and towns to issue bonds for the purpose of funding their indebtedness, reducing the rate of interest on pre-existing obligations, compromising with any creditor or creditors, or taking up and cancelling bonds, notes or other obligations already due, or which shall hereafter become due, and making it the duty of the Common Councils of such cities or the Boards of Trustees of such towns, to levy taxes for the payment of the interest, and to provide sinking funds for the liquidation of the principal of such bonds," approved March 24, 1879, and declaring an emergency. An Act supplementary to an act approved March 14, 1867, entitled, “An act to repeal all general laws now in force for the incorporation of cities, and to provide for the incorporation of cities, prescribing their powers and rights and the manner in which they shall exercise the same, and to regulate such other matters as pertain thereto." Superior Court-Vanderburgh.

An Act to amend section six of an act entitled "An act to establish a Superior Court in the county of Vanderburgh, defining its jurisdiction, providing for the election and compensation of the Judge thereof, and to abolish the Criminal Court of said county and transferring its business to the Circuit Court thereof," approved March 3, 1877. Cities to Vacate Cemeteries.

An Act authorizing cities and incorporated towns to vacate
cemeteries within or adjoining their corporate limits, upon
conditions and under regulations therein prescribed; con-
tinuing and preserving the title to the cemetery grounds
in and to such cities and towns; authorizing the officers,
owners or directors of any cemetery or cemetery associa-
tion to make certain improvements, and repealing so much
of section two of the act entitled "An act to empower the
Board of County Commissioners of the several counties of
this State to convey cemeteries to cities and incorporated
towns," approved March 4, 1867, as conflicts with this act.

Fifth Judicial Circuit.

An Act fixing the times of holding Circuit Courts in the Fifth
Judicial Circuit of the State of Indiana, prescribing the
length of the terms thereof, and repealing all laws in con

City of Evansville.

An Act to amend the third, forty-fourth, forty-ninth, fiftieth,
fifty-second, and fifty-third sections of an act entitled "An
act granting to the citizens of Evansville, in the county of
Vanderburgh, a city charter," approved January 27, 1847;
and also to amend section five of an act entitled "An act
to amend the fourth, fifth, twenty-sixth, thirty-fifth forty-
third and fifty-eighth sections of an act entitled 'An act
granting to the citizens of the town of Evansville, in the
county of Vanderburgh, a city charter,'" approved Janu
ary 27, 1842, approved March 7, 1873; and also to amend
the fifth section of an act entitled "An act granting to the
citizens of the town of Evansville, in the county of Van-
derburgh, a city charter," approved January 29, 1847, and
adding a supplemental section thereto, abolishing the office
of City Collector of said city, and requiring the City
Treasurer to perform the duties of City Collector, and con-
struing the forty-first clause of the thirtieth section of the
charter of said city with an emergency clause thereto,
approved March 12, 1875; and also to repeal "An act to
amend the charter of the city of Evansville," approved
January 16, 1850; and declaring an emergency. Approved

Constitutional Amendments.

An Act providing for the submission to the electors of the
State of Indiana, for ratification or rejection, the Consti-
tutional Amendments proposed to and adopted by the
General Assemblies of said State, at the sessions of 1877
and 1879, prescribing certain duties of officers of election
and others, providing penalties for violations thereof, and
repealing all laws in conflict therewith, and declaring an
emergency. Approved February 21, 1881.....

Green Hill Seminary.

An Act to legalize the incorporation of Green Hill Seminary
Corporation, located at Green Hill, Warren county, Indiana,
which was designed to be incorporated under "An act for
the incorporation of high schools, academies, colleges,
universities, theological institutions, and missionary
boards," approved February 28, 1855. Also, "An act
supplemental to the above act," approved March 9, 1869,
and declaring an emergency. Approved February 19, 1881..

Kokomo, Greentown and Jerome Gravel Road.

An Act to legalize the incorporation of the Kokomo, Green-
town and Jerome Gravel Road Association, of Howard
county, Indiana, and to legalize all the acts thereof and all
contracts by and with said Association, and all the official
acts of the several Boards of Directors thereof, under "An
act authorizing the construction of plank, macadamized
and gravel roads," approved May 12, 1852, and declaring

their acts and proceedings passed and executed by them,
under and pursuant to "An act for the incorporation of
towns, defining their powers, providing for the election of
officers thereof, and declaring their duties," approved
June 11, 1852, and acts amendatory thereof. Approved

Public Libraries.

An Act to establish public libraries in connection with the
common schools in all cities of ten thousand and more in-
habitants, and to define the duties and powers of Boards
of School Trustees, etc., in relation thereto. Approved

United States Patents.

An Act to permit all patents issued by the United States and
by the State of Indiana, conveying real estate in said
State, and the record of all patents aforesaid that have
not been recorded in any county of this State, legal evi-
dence in the courts thereof, and to provide for recording
