The following persons have been appointed on the part of the House to-wit: Messrs. Chambers, Redman and Woodson.

The Senate concurred in the above resolution, and, Messrs. Ashby and Jones of Pike, were appointed on the part of the Senate, to compose said joint committee.

Mr. Ashby submitted the following:

The joint committee appointed to wait on his Excellency the Governor, and to inquire if he had any further communication to make to the present General Assemby, have performed that duty and received for answer, that he has no further communication to make.

Message from the House of Representatives by Mr. Ralls.

MR. PRESIDENT.-The House of Representatives have adopted the following resolution:

Resolved, The Senate concurring therein, that the Senate and House of Representatives will now adjourn sine die.

On motion of Mr. Weaver,

The Senate disagreed to the above Resolution:

Mr. Ashby submitted the following:

Resolved, That House of Representatives be informed that the Senate is now ready to adjourn without day.

The President laid before the Senate the following:

MR. PRESIDENT-I hereby resign my seat as a member of the Senate from the sixth Senatorial district.

Message from the House of Representatives, by Mr. Ralls.

MR. PRESIDENT-The House of Representatives have concurred in the resolution from the Senate relative to an adjournment without day-and have directed me to inform the Senate that the House is now ready to adjourn without day.

On motion of Mr. Ashby, The Senate adjourned sine die.

GENTLEMEN-I hereby nominate William B. Napton, Esq. of Howard county, to the office of Attorney General of the State of Missouri, and request your advice and consent to the same.

GENTLEMEN-I nominate Peter G. Glover to the office of Auditor of Public Accounts, to commence at the expiration of the term of service for which he was heretofore appointed.

I also nominate Hiram H. Baber to the office of Secretary of state for the next four years, commencing from this date.
