The Cash Book is used to record the daily receipts and payments of money. It is ruled nearly the same as the Leger; the Dr. side exhibits the amount of money received, and the Cr. side, the amount paid out. Subtract the sum of the Cr. from that of the Dr. and the balance will always be equal to the amount of cash on hand.
