Resumption of the Debate on the Motion of Mr. Mills for a Committee to
enquire into the causes of. . . . .
After debate, Moved in amendment that all the words after "that" in the original resolution be struck out and the following inserted instead thereof:
"That the early revision of the tariff is very desirable, and that a revised tariff dis-
criminating to a greater degree than the existing tariff in favor of home industries
and manufactures, but not unduly stimulating one section of the country or one
industry against other sections and industries, would be productive of great
benefit to the whole Dominion."-Mr. De Cosmos
The amendment of Mr. DeCosmos having been withdrawn, it was moved
in amendment-
"That the word 'financial' be struck out of the resolution, and the words 'manufac-
turing and commercial' be inserted in lieu thereof."-Mr. Blain...
