PREFACE.

It is not the purpose of the writer to introduce to the public any new principle, but the result of laborious calculations culminating in the final elucidation of facts.

The Interest Table is calculated on the usual custom adopted by bankers-of 30 days to the month.

The other tables are collated from the best authorities.
