IVISION teaches to divide any sum of several denominations by a given

quantity, or into a

stipulated number of equal parts, in manner following: Divide the number of the highest denomination stated by the divisor, and set down the quotient; if there be any remainder,

reduce it to the next lower denomination, add to it the number pertaining, and divide as before. Set down also this quotient, reduce its remainder in like manner, and so proceed through all the denominations stated.
