With our present office force we will not be able to furnish more than one-fourth of the lists by the 1st of February. HUSTON, Register. } THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE INVITATION TO THE LEGISLATURE. Yesterday, a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce was held, with a view of taking some action in regard to the participation of that body in the invitation which the City Council have tendered to the Executive officers of the State, and to the Legislature, to visit this city and accept of its hospitalities. The meeting was called to order, and its object stated, by Hon. Henry Ames, the President. Mr. N. Wall then offered the following resolution: Resolved, That the Chamber of Commerce cooperate with the City Council in extending the hospitalities of the city to the Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, and the members of the Legislature, Executive officers, and Judges of the Supreme Court of the State of Missouri, and that a committee of fifteen be appointed to cooperate with the City Council to make suitable arrangements for their reception and entertainment. They have appointed the following named gentlemen the committee: Alexis Mudd, Taylor Blow, J. Brownlee, William Wade, N. Wall, D. A. January, George Knapp, G. W. Fishback, J. M. Hughes, J. A. Buckland, C. P. Chouteau, J. J. Anderson, J. H. Lucas, Neree Vallé, William M. Morrison. Gen. Ranney presented the following resolution; Resolved, That a committee of three be appointed to act with the City Council, to visit Jefferson City with the invitation of the Chamber of Commerce to the General Assembly.
