Its plan embraces Incidents of Travel and Adventure, Essays Critical and Descriptive, Serial Tales, Short Stories, Poems, Biographies, Literary Intelligence, &c., in connection with judicious selections from the admirable popular papers on Science which are constantly appearing in foreign periodicals. The value of these papers arises from the fact that scientific subjects, however harsh and dry in themselves, are here treated in so graphic and picturesque a style as to charm the reader wbile instructing him.
It will be, in short, the aim of its publishers that EVERY SATURDAY shall commend itself by its freshness and variety to all classes of intelligent and cultivated readers.
EVERY SATURDAY will contain each week thirty-two large octavo pages, handsomely printed in double columns, with an engraved title.
TERMS.—Single numbers, 10 cents. Subscription price, $5.00 per year, in advance.
Monthly Parts will be issued, containing one hundred and twenty-eight pages each, handsomely bound in an attractive cover, price 50 cents. Subscription price, $5.00 per year, in advance.
Clubbing Arrangement.—Subscribers to any of the other periodicals published by Ticknor & Fields will receive EVERY SATURDAY for $4.00 per year in advance. TICKNOR & FIELDS, Publishers, 124 Tremont street, Boston.
Although journals and magazines are rapidly increasing in number, the reading public is also increasing, not in number only, but also in intelligence. The Journal of Choice Reading which Messrs. Ticknor & Fields propose to issue under the title of “ EVERY SATURDAY,” bids fair from the plan on which it is to be conducted, as well as from the intelligence and enterprise of the publishers, to be a successful competitor for public favour.

A few complete sets of the Bibliotheca Sacra, and odd numbers, may still be had of the Publisher.
From numerous notices of the Bibliotheca Sacra, we give the following: “The Bibliotheca Sacra is king of all theological reviews, at home or abroad. It cannot be classed under the head of ephemeral literature, though it is a periodical. It is the accumulation of the new theological thought and research of the age. It distributes in quarterly issues what in other times would have crystalized into stately folios."-Lutheran Observer.
“The Bibliotheca Sacra and Biblical Repository is the strongest, broadest, most learned, and most living of the religious quarterlies of the United States."— The Independent.
"The Bibliotheca Sacra is the depository of scholarly thought upon subjects con; nected with Biblical literature and theology, mental and moral philosophy, and classical learning. In its department it is unapproached by any American or English publication.”—The Colonial Presbyterian.
The publications of the Andover press embrace the works of Professors STUART and SHEDD, and Dr. Woods, the Commentaries of Bishop ELLICOTT, Dr. HENDERSON on the Minor Prophets, and many other works of special value to Ministers. Catalogues sent free on application. W. F. DRAPER, Publisher,
