four attorneys composed of Herbert H. Ward, Esq., James M. Satterfield, Esq., Charles L. Moore, Esq., and Willard T. Smith, Esq., shall be elected as legal advisors for this session of the General Assembly; and that Herbert H. Ward, Esq., is hereby declared senior counsel of said Board.

On motion of Mr. Monaghan, the bill, (S. B. No. 6), entitled: An Act to amend Chapter 245, Volume 21, Laws of Delaware, entitled, "An Act to amend Chapter 58, Volume 15, Laws of Delaware, increasing the period of extension by the Governor of the term of indigent deaf, dumb and blind in institutions for instruction of such indigents", by further increasing the period of extension by the Governor of the term of indigent deaf, dumb and blind in institutions for instruction of such indigents."

And further on his motion the bill was read a second time, by its title, and referred to the Committee on Revised Statutes.

Mr. Moore offered the following resolution which, on his motion, was read and adopted.

Be it resolved by the Senate that the Secretary of the Senate shall, upon the written order of any officer or member of the Senate, procure such postage stamps, postal cards or newspaper wrappers, as said officer or member may desire within the constitutional limit; and the State Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to honor vouchers for said supplies, and pay for same from any moneys in the Treasury of the State not otherwise appropriated.

On motion of Senator Sparks Senate takes recess until 2 o'clock, P. M. same day.

Senate reassembled pursuant to adjournment.

On motion of Mr. Rowland Senate resolves itself into a Committee of the Whole.

Mr. Iliffe, on behalf of the Committee on Enrolled Bills, to whom had been referred Senate Joint Resolution, No. 2, entitled:

Joint resolution regulating the purchase and furnishing all printing and supplies to be used by the present session of the General Assembly.

Reported the same back to the Senate as duly and correctly enrolled.

Mr. Sparks offered the following resolution which, on his motion, was adopted.

Be it resolved by the Senate that the Secretary of the Senate be directed to prepare and have printed daily a calendar of bills, a copy of which shall be furnished to each member of the Senate and House prior to the convening of each morning's

session.

Mr. President presented the following communication and asked that it be read.

The executive meeting now in session of the Delaware W. C. T. U. send greetings to the legislative body assembled.

On motion of Mr. Sparks the communication was accepted and without objection was ordered by the President spread on the minutes.

Mr. Rowland, on behalf of the Committee on Finance, to whom had been referred the bill, (S. B. No. 1), entitled:

An Act to provide for the State of Delaware to be repre

sented at the Jamestown Ter-Centennial Exposition and to make an appropriation thereon.

Reported the same back to the Senate favorably, as amended.

Mr. Swain, Clerk of the House, being admitted, informed the Senate that the House had concurred in the following Senate concurrent resolution:

Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that a board of four attorneys composed of Herbert H. Ward, Esq., James M. Satterfield, Esq., Charles L. Moore, Esq. and Willard T. Smith, Esq., shall be elected as legal advisors for this session of the General Assembly; and that Herbert H. Ward, Esq., is hereby declared senior counsel of said board.

And presented the same to the Senate.

Mr. Swain, Clerk of the House, being admitted, informed the Senate that the House had concurred in the following Senate concurrent resolution:

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House be authorized and directed to make arrangements through the Board of State Supplies for free telephone service for the officers and members of the Senate and the House for matters pertaining to State business.

And presented the same to the Senate.

Mr. Swain, Clerk of the House, being admitted, informed the Senate that the House had passed and requested the concurrence of the Senate in the following joint resolution, entitled:

Joint resolution regarding a bill in the Congress of the United States relating to the Fifth and Sixth Regiments of Delaware Volunteers.

Mr. Swain, Clerk of the House, being admitted, informed the Senate that the House had passed and requested the concurrence of the Senate in the following joint resolution, entitled:

Joint resolution authorizing the appointment of a committee of two on the part of the House and also two on the part of. the Senate to select and secure a proper and suitable person to act as night watchman for the Senate and House.

And presented the same to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Sparks, Senate Joint Resolution, No. 3, entitled:

Senate Joint Resolution providing supplies for Attorneys for General Assembly.

Was taken up for consideration, and, on his further motion was read in order to pass the Senate.

On the question, "Shall the resolution pass the Senate?" The yeas and nays were ordered, which, being taken, were as follows:

tem.

Nays-None.

So the question was decided in the affirmative, and the resolution having received the required constitutional majority, was adopted.

Mr. Sparks moved that the joint resolution be adopted. On the question, "Shall the joint resolution be adopted?" The yeas and nays were ordered, which, being taken, were as follows:

Ordered that the House be informed thereof, and the joint resolution returned to that body.
