On the further motion of Mr. Sparks, Rule 14 was sus-pended as to this bill.

And further on his motion the bill was read a second time, by its title, and referred to the Committee on Revised Statutes.

On motion of Mr. Miller the clerk was ordered to have printed 200 copies of the report of the Fish Commissioner, Charles J. Luff.

Mr. Sparks offered the following resolution which was read as follows:

Resolved, That it is the sense of this Levy Court, that the General Assembly be urgently petitioned to pass an act authorizing the Levy Court of New Castle County to bond said county in the sum of two hundred thousand dollars, ($200,000), to be used for the permanent improvement of county roads and to be expended in conformity with the present "Good Roads' Act", said bonds to be issued in series of $100,000 dollars each for the years of 1907-1908, and to mature in twenty years from the date of issue.

Adopted by the Levy Court of New Castle County, Janu-ary 15th, 1907.

And further on the motion of Mr. Sparks the resolution was ordered filed and presented to the Chairman of the Committee to which said bill would be referred when presented.

On motion of Mr. Conner the following resolution was read:

Resolved, That the Senate in appreciation of the courtesies extended that body in its recent visit to Wilmington do hereby extend their sincere thanks for said courtesies, and direcet the Secretary to forward copies of this resolution to the Council

and the Board of Trade of Wilmington, and also spread upon the journal of the Senate.

And further on the motion of Mr. Conner the resolution was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Sparks Senate takes recess until 2 o'clock P. M. same day.

Mr. Barnard presented House Joint Resolution entitled: Joint Resolution No. 6 providing for a committee to audit the accounts of certain State officers, which, on his motion, was read.

Mr. Barnard moved that the joint resolution be adopted. On the question, "Shall the joint resolution be adopted?" The yeas and nays were ordered, which, being taken, were as follows:

Yeas-Messrs. Barnard, Boyce, Conner, Hart, Iliffe, Jester, Lingo, Miller, Monaghan, Morrison, Reed, Rowland, Mr. President pro tem.

So the question was decided in the affirmative, and the joint resolution having received the required constitutional majority, was declared adopted.

Ordered to the House to be concured in.

Ordered that the House be informed thereof, and the joint resolution returned to that body.

Mr. President made the following announcements:

James W. Robertson, to be a Justice of the Peace in and for New Castle County, for the term of four years from June 18, 1906.

George S. Parks, to be a Justice of the Peace in and for Sussex County, for the term of four years from June 26, 1906.

John Satterfield, to be a Justice of the Peace in and for

Kent County, for the term of four years from November 6, 1906.

Alton C. Pyle, to be a Justice of the Peace in and for New Castle County, for the term of four years from December 8, 1906.

Joseph H. Enos, to be a Justice of the Peace in and for New Castle County, for the term of four years from December 8, 1906.

Mathew S. Newton, of Bridgeville, Delaware, to the office of Justice of the Peace in and for Sussex County for the term of four years.

Leonard W. Lovett, Newark, Delaware, to the office of Justice of the Peace in and for New Castle County for the term of four years.

On motion of Mr. Sparks Senate takes recess until 2.50 P. M. same day.

Mr. Cahall, Secretary of the State, being admitted, presented the appointment by the Governor of Robert A. Wood, of Sussex County, to be a Justice of the Peace in and for Sussex County for the terms of four years.

Also Joseph B. Betts, of Sussex County, to be a Justice of the Peace in and for Susex County for the term of four years. On motion of Mr. Sparks Senate adjourned until 10.30 A. M., next day.

Reported the same back to the Senate favorably.

An Act to change the name of Sallie B. Loper to Sallie B. Johnson.

The following notices were given:

Mr. Sparks gave notice that on to-morrow or some future day he would ask leave to introduce a bill, entitled: An Act regulating annulment of marriages and divorce.

Mr. Rowland gave notice that on to-morrow or some future day he would ask leave to introduce a bill, entitled: An Act authorizing the Commissioners of School Districts Nos. III and 226, Sussex County, borrow money to build a new school house.

Mr. Rose gave notice that on to-morrow or some future day he would ask leave to introduce a bill, entitled: An Act authorizing Incorporated School Districts, Nos. 39, 39 1-2, 40, 41 1-2, in New Castle County, to borrow $12,000 to build a new school house, and to issue bonds therefor.

Mr. Swain, Clerk of the House, being admitted, presented for the signature of the President of the Senate the following duly and correctly enrolled joint resolution, the same having been signed by the Speaker of the House. House Joint Resolution, No. 6, providing for a committee to audit the accounts of certain State officers.

Mr. Swain, Clerk of the House, being admitted, informed the Senate that the House had passed and requested the concurrence of the Senate in the following House bill: H. B. No. 16, entitled: An Act for the protection and preservation of squirrels.

On motion of Mr. Rose the bill, (S. B. No. 11), entitled: An Act to change the name of Sallie B. Loper to Sallie B. Johnson.

Was taken up for consideration, and, on his further motion, was read a third time, by paragraphs, in order to pass the Senate.
