A. God created all the angels b fpirits c, immortal d, holy e, excelling in knowledge f, mighty in power g, to execute his commandments, and to praise his name h, yet fubject to change i.

A. After God had made all other creatures, he created man male and female; formed the body of the man of the duft of the ground, and the woman of the rib of the man m; endued them

Q.-21. Did man continue in that estate wherein God at first created him?

A. Our first parents being left to the freedom of their own will, through the temptation of Satan; tranfgreffed the commandment of God, in eating the forbidden fruit, and thereby fell from the eftate of innocency wherein they were created q. Q. 22. Did all mankind fall in that first tranfgreffion?

A. The covenant being made with Adam, as a public perfon, not for himself only, but for his pofterity; all mankind defcending from him by ordinary generation r, finned in him, and fell with him in that firft tranfgreffion Q.23•

But I fear left by any means, as the ferpent beguiled Eve through his fubtilty, fo your minds thould be corrupted from the fimplicity that is in Chrift.
