Matt. viii. 29. The devils cried out, saying, what have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Son of God.
Luke i. 32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the highest.
Ver. 35. He shall be called the Son of God.
v. 18. The Jews sought the more to kill him, because he said that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Hence the title of Father sú often given to God, by Jesus Christ and olhers, as in Matt. xi. 25. I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth.
Ver. 27. No man knoweth the Son but the Father.
xxviii. 9. Baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Mark xiii. 32. Of that day knoweth no man, no not the Son, but the Father.

II. Christ is distinguished from the created song of God, by the pecakar epitheta of begotten, first and only begolten, first-born, &c.
Ps. ii. 7. Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
Ixxxix, 27. I will make him my first-born, higher than the kings of the earth. Acts xüi. 33. Heb. i. 5.-7. 5.
John i. 14. The only begotten of the Father. Ver. 18. Which is in the bosom of the Father.. iii. 16. God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. Ver. 18.
Heb. i. 6. When he bringeth in his first begotten into the world, he saith, let all the angels of God worship him.

V. Christ is Lord. Ps. cx. I. The Lord said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy foot-stool. Matt. xxii. 44. Acts ïi. 25. Heb. i. 13.
Isa. xl. 3. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ge the way
of the Lord. Matt. iji. 3. Jer. xxiij. 6. This is his name, wherewith he shall be called, the
Lord our righteousness. In the original it is Jehovah our righteouse ness.
Joel ii. 32. Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Rom. x. 13.
Mal. iii. 1. The Lord whom ye seek shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant.
Matt. vii. 21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ver. 22. Many will say unto me in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, &c.
xxiv. 42. Watch, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. See ver. 45, 46, 48, 50.
Mark ii. 28. The Son of man is Lord of the sabbath.
