The checkmate can be given in a similar manner when the Pieces are on the Queen's side, for example:

CHAPTER LIII.

On the checkmate of the Queen's Pawn with a Knight and a Bishop on the colour of the Pawn's own square.

CHAPTER I.

Of the Pieces and Pawns which cannot checkmate.

Two Knights cannot checkmate.

A Rook against a Knight is a drawn game.
A Rook against a Bishop is a drawn game.

A Queen against two Bishops is a drawn game.

A Queen against two Knights and a Bishop is a drawn game.

A Queen against a Rook defended by a Pawn at its own square, and having the King near is a drawn game, provided it be not a Rook's Pawn.

A Queen against a Rook and Knight is a drawn game. A Queen against a Rook and Bishop is a drawn game.

Of the Pawns that cannot checkmate.

A Pawn accompanied by a Rook cannot checkmate. The King's Pawn with the Queen's Pawn and a Rook cannot checkmate.

The King's Pawn with the Queen cannot checkmate. The King's Pawn with either of the Knight's Pawns and a Rook cannot checkmate.

The King's Pawn with either of the Bishop's Pawns and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The King's Pawn with either of the Rook's Pawns and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The Queen's Pawn with the King's Pawn and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The Queen's Pawn with the Queen cannot checkmate. The Queen's Pawn with either of the Knight's Pawns and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The Queen's Pawn with either of the Bishop's Pawns and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The Queen's Pawn with either of the Rook's Pawns and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The King's Bishop's Pawn with Q. B. Pawn and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The King's Bishop's Pawn with Q. Kt. Pawn and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The King's Bishop's Pawn with either of the Rook's Pawns and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The Queen's Bishop's Pawn with the King's Pawn and a Rook, cannot checkmate.

The Queen's Bishop's Pawn, with the K. B. Pawn, and a Rook, cannot checkmate.
