Ye flaves of fin and hell,
Your liberty receive,
And fafe in Jefus dwell,

And bleft in Jefus live.
The year of jubilce is come;
Return, ye ranfom'd finners, home.
The gofpel trumpet hear,
The news of pard'ning grace;
Ye happy fouls, draw near,
Behold your Saviour's face!
The year of jubilee is come;
Return, ye ranfor'd finners, home.
Jefus, our great High Priest,
Has full atonement made;

Ye weary fpirits, rest,

Ye mournful fouls, be glad.

The year of jubilee is come;
Return, ye ranfom'd finners, home.

The incomprehenfible GOD.

[* or b]

AN creatures to perfection find
The eternal uncreated Mind?
Or can the largeft ftretch of thought
Measure and fearch his nature out?
2 'Tis high as heaven, 'tis deep as hell,
And what can mortals know or tell?
His glory fpreads beyond the fky,
And all the fhining worlds on high.
3 God is a King of power unknown;
Firm are the orders of his throne,
If he refolve, who dare oppofe?
Or ask him why or what he does?
He frowns, and darkness veils the moon,
The fainting fun grows dim at noon;

The pillars of heav'n's ftarry roof
Tremble and start at his reproof.

5 He gave the vaulted heaven its form,
The crooked ferpent and the worm;
He breaks the billows with his breath,
And fmites the fons of pride to death.
5 Thefe are a portion of his ways!
But who fhall dare defcribe his face?
Who can endure his light, or ftand,
To hear the thunders of his hand?

God incomprehenfible.

NELESTIAL King, our fpirits lie,
Trembling beneath thy feet;

And wifh, and caft a longing eye,
To reach thy lofty feat.

In thee, what endlefs wonders meet!
What various glories fhine!

The dazzling rays too fiercely beat
Upon our fainting mind.

Angels are loft in glad furprize,
If thou unveil thy grace;

And humble awe runs through the fkies,
When wrath arrays thy face.

4 Created powers, how weak they be!
How fhort our praises fall!

So much akin to nothing, we,

And thou, th' eternal All.

Lord, here we bend our humble fouls,
And awfully adore ;

For the weak pinions of our minds
Can ftretch a thought no more.

The Prefence of Ged mortifying us to the World. HOME, bleffed Lord, defcend and dwell By faith and love within our breaft; Then fhall we know, and tafte and feel Such joys as cannot be exprefs'd.

2 Come, fill our hearts with inward strength, Make our enlarged fouls poffefs,

And learn the height, and breadth, and length,
Of thy unmeasurable grace.

3 Could we but pierce the veil, and fee
The glories of th' eternal fkies,

What little things thefe worlds would be,
How defpicable in our eyes!

4 Great all in all, eternal King!

Could we but view thy glorious face, Then all our powers fhould join to fing Thy boundless wifdom and thy grace. 5 Now to the God, whose power in heaven And earth, has works of wonder done, Be everlasting honours given,

By all the church, through Chrift his Son.
