DISTRICT OF NEW-HAMPSHIRE, to wit.
o District Clerk's Office. ; Svo. BE IT REMEMBERED, that on the eighth day of April, A. D. 1826, and in the fif. 3. S. tieth year of the Independence of the United States of America, JACOB B. MOORE. *" of said District, hath deposited in this Office the title of a book, the right whereof he claims as proprietor, in the words following, to wit :
“Pike's System, of Arithmetick, Abridged: designed to facilitate the study of the science of numbers. Comprehending the most perspicuous and accurate rules, Illustrated by useful earamples. To which are added appropriate questions for the earamination of Scholars; and a short system of Book-Keeping. By DUDL LEAVITT, Teacher of Mathematicks and Naturat Philosophy.”
In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, entitled, “An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts and Books, tohe Authors and PreFrietors of such copies, during the time therein mentioned;” and also to an act, entitled, * An act supplementary to an act, entitled, an act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts and Books to the Authors and oroprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving and etching historical and other prints.”
