Butter, at 14 cents, In the practice of the above method, only one Account Book is required; which is formed in the same manner as the Leger in Single Entry. This Account Book answers the double purpose of Day-Book and Leger. The transactions of the trade are entered under the title or name of the person, and against the dates on which they take place. If a person enters every instance of debt and credit at the time it occurs, he will be able to ascertain at any time the state of his accounts in every particular case. This method will be found very convenient for farmers and mechanicks whose business is not very extensive.
