TABLE BOOK AND INTRODUCTORY ARITHMETIC. BY L. NASH. NEW YORK, CINCINNATI, CHICAGO: This little book has been compiled by a practical teacher to aid other teachers in drilling their pupils in the Simple Rules of Arithmetic. It is believed that the Questions on the Tables will be found more complete than those of any similar manual. In the Exercises in Numeration and Notation, and in the Fundamental Rules, great pains has been taken to employ the cipher, always so puzzling to learners, in every possible combination with the significant figures. As young children, for whom this book i intended, always depend upon their teachers for oral directions, rules and explanations have been deemed unnecessary.
