1. What period of time is embraced in the Second Book of Kings? Name the first and last Kings of Judah mentioned

therein.

2. Who was the last King of Israel? By what people were the ten tribes vanquished and carried into captivity, and how did their King's policy, as to repeopling the land of Israel, tend to the subsequent antipathy of the Jews and Samaritans?

3. The fulfilment of an ancient prophecy of Isaac's, and of another uttered against Jeroboam, is mentioned in this book. In what King's reign respectively did the fulfilments take place?

4. State three of the principal miracles.

5. What providential discovery seems to have led to the "Revival" in the days of Josiah?

6. What remarkable illustration is afforded in this Book, that Repentance for Sin may be accepted, while its penalty is enforced?

7. Can you mention any miracle confirmatory of the grand truth of a bodily resurrection?

8. What internal evidence have we that S. John did not write exclusively for the Jews?

6. Do you remember a reason given in another part of Scripture why David was not allowed to carry out his inten ion of building a Temple for God's worship?

7. Does mention of St. Luke occur in the Gospels or the Epistles, and when mentioned to what profession is he stated to belong?

8. Give some proofs from internal evidence that St. Luke wrote his Gospel for the Gentiles.

9. Mention some instances of our Lord's respect for the distinctions of civil life.

10. Give some instances of our Lord's employment of the co-operation of human agency in performing miracles?

11. State the portions of St. Luke's Gospel used in the service for evening prayer? Is any part used in the morning service?

2. What do you know about the "Te Deum?" Into what parts may it be divided?

5. Write out the Collect for Christmas Day: explain its meaning, and shew what doctrines are asserted in it.

7. Give the order of the different parts of the Communion Service.

8. What are the chief duties, which the Catechism tells us, we owe to our neighbour?

9. Explain what you mean by a Sacrament, and shew how Baptism is a Sacrament.

1. Multiply 149570 by 15790; and divide 433418175 by 615.

2. Reduce 3 m. 7 fur. 8 poles to yards; and 573 miles to inches.

3. Write out the tables of Lineal Measure, and Square Measure.

4. If the carriage of 5 cwt. 7 lbs. for 84 miles cost £3 18s. 4d., what will it cost me to have 21 cwt. 1 qr. 14 lbs. carried the same distance?

5. If a person travel 300 miles in ten days, when the day is 12 hours long; how many days will it take him to travel 600 miles, when the day is 15 hours long?

6. Find by practice how much the carriage of 5 parcels each weighing 4 cwt. 3 qrs. 21 lbs. will come to at 12s. 6d. per ton.

11. If the rental of my parish is £3,796 14s. what sum will a rate of 10d. in the pound raise for the repair of the highways, and what shall I have to pay for my farm of 160 acres which lets for £1 2s. 6d. per acre ?

12. Express 7 fur. 25 poles as the decimal of a mile; and find the value of 655 of a day.

13. The length of a rectangular field being 25 chains 8 links, and its breadth 14 chains 75 links; what number of acres does it contain ?

14. Two persons form a joint stock by subscribing £3500, and £5000 respectively, and in a certain time they clear £1000; how must this sum be divided between the two?
