Running God's Spiritual RailroadXulon Press, 2007 - 156 σελίδες Riding the Line with God. Chris Howard has been fascinated by railroads his entire life. This fascination led to his weekend volunteer work as a fireman on a steam locomotive operating in the area around Chattanooga, Tennessee. During his time working on Engine 610, Chris discovered many parallels between railroad life and Man's walk with God. With this collection of short stories, he has blended his passions for God and railroads. These tales are filled with thought provoking insights and teachings; yet maintain a simplicity and clarity that all ages can enjoy. So take a ride with Chris on Engine 610, for both the enjoyment of the trip and the fresh insights on our relationship with God and our responsibilities toward others through Him. Chris Howard is a marketing representative for a leading movie, music and book distributor in a large retail chain store setting. On his weekends however the business clothes and PDA are traded in for striped overalls, gloves and a shovel. Chris has had an ongoing passion for trains since he was an infant and in 1995 he began training as a steam locomotive fireman on the Tennessee Valley Railroad in Chattanooga, TN. He enjoys building railroad models, writing, photography, serving others and just watching God at work. He and his wife Regina currently live in a small town in eastern Alabama. They are active members of Word Alive International Outreach in Coldwater, AL. Chris has spoken at several churches on the theme "Running God's Spiritual Railroad" and greatly enjoys his newfound ministry God has blessed him with. |
