A great deal of this matter re; lates to current events of importance at the time they were printed but of no permanent value. Some of them are mere expressions of opinion or discussions arising between the editors and men identified with some depart ment of the business. Others are of an enduring char acter and of as much value ten years hence as they were at the time they originally were printed.
