THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MANISTEE WITH AMENDMENTS TO FEBRUARY 20, 1904 AN ORDINANCE Creating sewer districts. § I. SEC. 1. The City of Manistee ordains, that the following sewer districts are hereby made and constituted: Sewer district No. 1. (Cedar street sewer district.) All that part of Manistee city bounded as follows: On the north by Manistee river; west by Tamarack street; south by Eighth street; on the east by a line commencing at the river; thence south along center of Spruce street to Sixth street; thence east 10 rods; thence south to Seventh street; thence west to Canfield's addition; thence south to Eighth street. Sewer district No. 2. (Pine street sewer district.) Commencing at the northwest corner of lot No. 1, block 2, of Filer & Tyson's addition, running thence south to First street; thence southerly to northwest corner of lot 1, block 11, of said addition; thence south to Second street; thence southerly to northwest corner of lot 1, block 8, of M. S. Tyson & Co.'s addition; thence south to alley midway between Fourth and Fifth streets; thence west to Pine street; thence south to Fifth street; thence south along a line parallel with and eight rods east of Pine street; thence south along a line parallel with and eight rods east of Pine street as located on Robinson's addition 750 feet to northwest corner of lot No. 5, block 2, of 154483 said Robinson's addition; thence west 330 feet; thence northerly along east line of sewer district No. 1 to river; thence easterly to place of beginning. Sewer district No. 3. (Oak street sewer district.) Commencing at northwest corner of lot 1, block 2, of Filer & Tyson's addition, running thence southerly along east line of sewer district No. 2 to alley midway between Fourth and Fifth streets; thence easterly to southeast corner of lot 6, block 19, of M. S. Tyson & Co.'s addition; thence north to Second street; thence northerly to southeast corner of lot 5, block 12, of Filer & Tyson's addition; thence north to Water street; thence east to northwest corner of lot 1, block 7, of said addition; thence northerly to southeast corner of lot 17, D. L. Filer's subdivision of block 6 of Filer & Tyson's addition; thence northerly along east line of said lot 17 and lot 10 of said block to River street; thence northerly along east line of lot 4, black 1, of Filer & Tyson's addition to the river; thence westerly to place of beginning. Bounded on north by Manistee river; west by sewer districts Nos. 2 and 3; south by Sixth street; east by line commencing 165 feet east and 297 feet south of center intersection of Maple and Fifth streets, running thence north to First street; thence northerly along center line of block 6 of Willard's subdivision to point 140 feet north of said subdivision; thence west 20 feet to southeast corner of lot 1, block 3, of Green's addition; thence north to south line of block 1 of said addition; thence northerly to southeast corner of lot 5 of said block 1; thence northerly to River street; thence east to Poplar street; thence northerly along east line of lot 7 of Green and Milmoe's addition to the river. Sewer district No. 5. (Greenbush sewer district.) Bounded on the north by river; west by sewer district No. 4; south by alley midway between Second and Third streets; east by line commencing at southeast corner of lot 4 of block 5 of M. S. Tyson & Co.'s addition; running thence north to northeast corner of lot 12, block 13, of Filer & Smith's addition; thence east 243 feet; thence north to south line of block 7 of Green's addition; thence east 66 feet; thence north to northeast corner of lot 7 of said block; thence southwesterly 210 feet to southwest corner of lot 22, thence northerly to River street; thence northwesterly along east line of lot 28, of Green & Milmoe's addition, to river. Sewer district No. 6. (Division street sewer district.) Bounded on north by river; west by sewer district No. 5; thence commencing at southeast corner of lot 4, block 5, of M. S. Tyson & Co.'s addition, running thence east to Cypress street; thence north to south line of Second street; thence east to Haines addition; thence north to First street; thence northwesterly to southeast corner of lot 11, block 15, of Filer & Smith's addition; thence north to Filer street; thence northwesterly to southeast corner of lot 11, block 8, of said addition; thence northwesterly parallel with Smith street to River street; thence northwesterly to Cailiff's east line to river. Sewer district No. 7. (Smith street sewer district.) Bounded on north by river; west by sewer district No. 6; thence commencing at a point on west line of Haines' addition 319 feet south of First street, thence east 330 feet; thence north to First street; thence east to Manistee lake; thence northwesterly along the shore of said lake to northeast angle of Hancock and Hill streets; thence southwesterly to southeast corner of lot 3, block 9, of Filer & Smith's addition; thence northwesterly on a line parallel with Smith street to River street; thence northwesterly to southeast corner of lot 4, block 1, of said addition; thence northeasterly along center line of block 1 to Mason street; thence northwesterly along east line of lot 4 of Tyson & Co.'s new addition to Manistee river. Sewer district No. 8. (Fifth street sewer district.) Bounded on east by Manistee lake; north by sewer districts Nos. 5, 6 and 7; west by sewer district No. 4; thence commencing at southeast corner of sewer district No. 4, running thence east to Cyprus street; thence southwesterly to northwest corner of Hart & Cutcheon's addition; thence east to Davis addition; thence north to point 66 feet south of Fifth street; thence east to Davis street; thence easterly along a line parallel with and 62 feet south of Fifth street to Manistee lake. Sewer district No. 9. (Freeland's addition.) Bounded on north by district No. 8; west by Cypress street; south by section line south boundary of Freeland; east by Manistee lake. § 2. SEC. 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the foregoing are hereby repealed. This ordinance shall take immediate effect. The City of Manistee ordains, that the following sewer districts be, and the same are hereby made and constituted, as follows to wit: |
