In conformity to the Aet of the Congress of the United States, entitled "An A ct for the encouragem." t of Learning, by securing the c ipiea of Maps, Charts, and Books to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the time therein mentioned.' And also to an Act, entitled, *' An Aet, supplementary to an Act, entitled an \ctfo> the encouragement of Learning, by securing the copies of 'lapt, Charts, and B ioks to he authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mention d and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and, etching historical and other prints."

At the request of D. T. Blake, one of the Masters in Chancery for the State of New-York, having lately examined a book, entitled, "A Treatise on the Practice of the Court of Chancery for the tfhte of NewYork," we have no hesitation in saying, that as a book of Practice, it will be found of great utility not only in this, but in every other State in the Union which has Chancery jurisdiction.
