which the Reformation rescued from the superincumbent mass of traditions, fictions, and errors, that human pride, ignorance, and cupidity of dominion and filthy lucre, had gradually heaped upon these doctrines, -he regrets not that attempt; especially at a period when a revival of those traditions, fictions, and errors, appears to be taking place in this kingdom.
To the blessing of Him who is “ the Author and Giver of all good things,” “ without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy,” and “who worketh after the counsel of his own will," the writer commends both the volume and its reader.
