DE LA VOYE'S
LARGE TYPE

FRENCH AND ENGLISH DICTIONARY.

Just Published, at the reduced Price of 4s. 6d. (1100
pages), a New Edition of a New
FRENCH AND ENGLISH

AND

ENGLISH AND FRENCH
DICTIONARY,

BY

MARIN G. DE LA VOYE.

The New Edition of De La Voye's LARGE TYPE French
Dictionary is offered as the cheapest ever published.,

The following are a few of the principal useful features
of the work. It is printed in LARGE TYPE. If a student
has to look for a Noun, he is furnished with the significations
of that noun not only in a Literal but in a Military, Nauti
cal and Commercial point of view, whenever the word re-
lates to the ARMY, the NAVY, or to TRADE in its various
branches. If it be a VERB which the learner seeks to
understand, he will find EVERY PERSON, MOOD and TENSE
belonging to ALL the verbs in the language inserted in
alphabetical order. There are upwards of 4400 French
Verbs, multiply these verbs by 49 orthographical modifica-
tions necessary for the conjugation of each, the vast number
of additional words embodied in this work will at once be
obtained. ADJECTIVES have often their plural in addition
to their feminine terminations, and so arranged as to facili-
tate considerably their formation.

Besides the several meanings, therefore, of all the Parts
of Speech in the French Language (including all the REGU-
LAR and IRREGULAR VERBS, &c., &c.), such as they are found
written whatever their occasional Orthography may be, the
public and the student may expect to find in the present
work more general information and more words by many
thousands than in any Dictionary of the size ever pub-
lished.
