167. 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

168. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 169. 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 170. 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all men did marvel.

21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him : and he was nigh unto the

sea.

22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged

36 Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,

38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

AND Jesus being full of

the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone

174. 2 For with what judg

ment ye judge, ye shall man, which had an issue of be judged and with blood twelve years,

what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 175. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

176. 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye: and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

177. 5 Thou hypocrite,

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may

181. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 182. 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

183. 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give

unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath good gifts unto your made thee whole; go in children, how much peace, and be whole of thy more shall your Father plague, which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 184. 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the Law and the Prophets.

185. 13 ¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

186. 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

35¶ While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?

36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
