Mr. President-I am directed to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has concurred with the Senate in the passage of bills of the following titles, to wit:

SENATE BILL No. 495.

A bill for an Act to make an appropriation to pay certain subcontractors, material men and laborers for material furnished and work done in the construction of the sheep and swine pavilions at the State Fair Grounds.

SENATE BILL No. 425.

A bill for "An Act making an appropriation for the relief of Hannah A. Bruce, mother of Ethel Bruce.

Passed the House June 18, 1915.

Mr. President-I am directed to inform the Senate that the House has concurred with the Senate in the passage of a bill of the following title, to wit:

SENATE BILL No. 450.

A bill for "An Act to repeal Article XI of an Act entitled 'An Act to incorporate the city of Jacksonville in the County of Morgan and State of Illinois,' approved February 15, 1867, as amended by an Act approved March 29, 1869."

Together with the following amendment (which amendment has been printed by the House), in the adoption of which I am instructed to ask the concurrence of the Senate, to wit:

AMENDMENT No. 1.

Amend Senate Bill No. 450, in House as follows: Insert after the word "repealed" at the end of line 5 of the printed bill, the following: "This Act shall not take effect and be in force until the first day of March A. D. 1916."

Passed the House, as amended, June 17, .1915.

Having been printed as received from the House of Representatives, together with the Senate amendments adopted thereto, was taken up and read at large a third time,

And the question being, "Shall this bill pass together with the Senate amendments thereto ?" it was decided in the affirmative by the following vote: Yeas, 34; nays, 0.

Mr. President-I am directed to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has refused to concur with the Senate in the adoption of their amendments to a bill of the following title, to wit:

HOUSE BILL No. 931.

A bill for "An Act making an appropriation for the payment of the officers and members of the next General Assembly and for the salaries of certain officers and employees of the State Government."

Which amendments are as follows:

AMENDMENT No. 1.

Page 1, lines 3 and 4 of the printed bill, strike out the words and figures "three million one hundred seventy-one thousand two hundred thirty-six and 00/100 ($3,171,236.00)" and insert in lieu thereof the words and figures: three million two hundred eleven thousand eight hundred thirty-six and 00/100 ($3,211,836.00).

AMENDMENT No. 2.

Page 2, line 21, strike out the figures "1,500.00" and insert in lieu thereof the figures: 1,800.00.

AMENDMENT No. 3.

Page 7, line 117, strike out the figures "10,000.00" and insert in lieu thereof the figures: 30,000.00.

On motion of Mr. Curtis, the Senate refused to recede from its amendments to the bill.

On motion of Mr. Curtis, the Conference Committee was ordered to consist of five members from each House to consider the differences of two Houses in regard to the amendments to the bill.

The President of the Senate announced that the Executive Committee had appointed as such committee on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Curtis, Jewell, Abt, Meeker, and Womack.

On motion of Mr. Canaday, House Bill No. 925, for “An Act in relation to the sale, conveyance and exchange of certain lands between the Commissioners of Lincoln Park and the State of Klinois; providing means for making conveyance of said lands, and providing means for the disposal of lands acquired by the Commissioners of Lincoln Park in such sale and exchange,"

Having been printed as received from the House of Representatives,
Was taken up and read at large a third time,

On motion of Mr. Smith, House Bill No. 867, for "An Act to amend an Act entitled, 'An Act to revise the law in relation to the suppression and prevention of the spread of contagious and infectious diseases among domestic animals,' approved June 14, 1909, in force July 1, 1909,”
