The President pro tempore of the Senate announced that he had examined the Journal of Tuesday, January 9, 1923, and found no corrections to make, and unless some Senator had corrections to offer, the Journal would stand approved. Mr. Buck raised the point of order that under the Constitution of the State and the rules of the Senate that each nomination should be considered separately if so demanded. The President pro tempore of the Senate decided the point of order not well taken. Mr. Ettelson moved that Mr. Essington's motion be laid on the table, and the yeas and nays being called the motion was decided in the affirmative by the following: Yeas, 26; nays, 18. The following voted in the affirmative: Messrs. Mr. Essington moved that with the exception of those nominations objected to the Senate proceed to confirm the nominations named in the message.
