Hon. Fred E. Sterling, Lieutenant Governor and President of the Senate, presiding.

Prayer by the Chaplain, Rev. Ernest E. Higdon, Pastor of the First Christian Church, Bloomington, Ill.

The President of the Senate announced that he had examined the Journals of Thursday, April 19, and Friday, April 20, 1923, and found no corrections to make, and unless some Senator had corrections to offer, the Journals would stand approved. No corrections being offered the Journals were ordered to stand approved.

COMMUNICATIONS.

The President of the Senate presented a communication from the Izaak Walton League of America, Rockford, Ill., Chapter, favoring at closed season for black bass from May 25 to June 15, which communication was read and ordered placed on file.

PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS.

Mr. Lantz presented a petition from voters and prospective voters of Livingston County, Illinois, against the passage of Senate Bill No. 106, which petition was referred to the Committee on Public Health, Hygiene and Sanitation.
