Senate Bill No. 444, a bill for "An Act to amend section 60 of ‘An Act in relation to the civil administration of the State government, and to repeal certain Acts therein named,' approved March 7, 1917, as amended."

Having been printed, was taken up and read at large a second time. Mr. Mason offered the following amendment to the bill, which was adopted:

AMENDMENT No. 1.

Amend printed Senate Bill No. 444 on page 4, line 88, by adding after the word "medical" the word "practitioners" and by striking out after the word "state" the word "practitioners."

On motion of Mr. Mason, further consideration of the bill was postponed, the bill to retain its place on the calendar.

On motion of Mr. Buck, Senate Bill No. 422, for "An Act to amend, section 44 of an Act entitled, 'An Act to provide for the construction, reparation and protection of drains, ditches and levees across the lands of others, for agricultural, sanitary and mining purposes, and to provide for the organization of drainage districts,' approved and in force May 29, 1897, as subsequently amended."

Having been transcribed, typed and printed, was taken up and read at large a third time.

And the question being, "Shall this bill pass?" it was decided in the affirmative by the following vote: Yeas, 41; nays, 1. The following voted in the affirmative: Messrs.
