Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, on page 14, in line 229 by striking cut the words "West of" and inserting in lieu thereof the word "at."

Beginning at a point on Route No. 95 at Cuba and extending in a northerly direction to Fairview, affording Cuba, Fairview and the intervening communities reasonable connections with each other.

AMENDMENT No. 40.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, on page 22 by striking out all of lines 4741⁄2 and 475 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

"Beginning at Murphysboro and extending in a southwesterly direction to a connection with Route No. 150, thereby connecting Routes 13 and 150.”

AMENDMENT No. 41.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, on page 8 in line 45 by inserting after the word "affording" the word "Andres."

AMENDMENT No. 42.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, on page 22, in line 457 of the printed bill after the word "Junction" insert the following:

"Thence through McLean Gap and along the most practical route to Cave-in-Rock," and also in line 458 of the printed bill insert "Cave-in-Rock" after the word "Junction."

AMENDMENT No. 43.

In line 464 of the printed bill strike out "a point on Route No. 34 southeast of Herod," and insert in lieu thereof the word "Equality."

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, on page 21, in lines 430 and 431 by striking out the words "of Sullivan" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "to Antioch" and inserting after the second word "Sullivan" the words "Bethany, Dalton City, Mt. Zion, Antioch."

Beginning at Thomson and extending in a northeasterly direction to an intersection with Route No. 78 at a point east of Fay affording Thomson, Argo, Fay and the intervening communities reasonable connection with each other.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, by adding a new route to be known as Route No. 172.

ROUTE NO. 172.

"Beginning on Milwaukee avenue about one, and one-half miles north of the village of Libertyville where Route No. 21 leaves said Milwaukee avenue, and extending in a northeasterly direction on Milwaukee avenue to Gurnee."

"Beginning at a point on Route No. 17, east of Streator, and extending in a northeasterly direction to an intersection with Route No. 7, affording Ransom, Seneca, and the intervening communities reasonable connection with each other."

AMENDMENT No. 56.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed on page 23 in line 496 by striking out the word "Ziegler" and inserting in lieu thereof the word "Thompsonville" and by inserting in line 497 after the word "affording" the word "Thompsonville."

AMENDMENT No. 57.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, on page 18, in lines 334 and 335, by striking out the word "Carlinville" which appears twice and by inserting in line 334 after the word "to" the word "Bunker Hill."

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, page 25, by striking out in line 551 and line 552 after the word "to" the following words: "an intersection with Route No. 15 south of Scott Field" and inserting in lieu thereof the word "Belleville"; and in line 553 by inserting after the word "Scott Field" a comma and the word "Belleville."

AMENDMENT No. 59.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, as printed, by striking out all of line 326 after the word "in" and all of line 327, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

"An easterly direction to an intersection with Route No. 4 at a point between Gillespie and Benld affording Jerseyville, Shipman (with a suitable connection to Bunker Hill) Dorchester, Wilsonville, Gillespie, Benld and the intervening communities reasonable connections with each other."

AMENDMENT No. 60.

Beginning at Glasford in Peoria County and extending in a southerly direction to a connection with Route No. 9.

AMENDMENT No. 64.

Amend Senate Bill No. 376, on page 11, in line 148, by striking out the period and inserting in lieu thereof a comma and the following: "Affording Freeport, Cedarville, Orangeville and the intervening communities reasonable connections with each other."

On motion of Mr. Meents the first committee amendment was laid on the table.

Mr. Meents offered the following as a substitute for Amendment No. 3 of the committee, which substitute was adopted.
