The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.

Senator Earl B. Searcy as acting president pro tempore, called the Senate to order, he having been designated to perform that duty by the President of the Senate.

At 10:10 o'clock a. m., on motion of Mr. Searcy, the Senate adjourned until Tuesday, May 29, 1923, at 10:00 o'clock a. m.

Senate met pursuant to adjournment.

Hon. Fred E. Sterling, Lieutenant Governor and President of the Senate, presiding.

Prayer by the Chaplain, Rev. Wm. H. Fulton, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, of Rockford, Illinois.

The President of the Senate announced that he had examined the Journals of Thursday, May 24, Saturday, May 26, and Tuesday, May 29, 1923, and found no corrections to make, and unless some Senator had corrections to offer, the Journals would stand approved. No corrections being offered the Journals were ordered to stand approved.

Mr. President-I am directed to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has passed a bill of the following title, in the passage of which I am instructed to ask the concurrence of the Senate, to-wit:

HOUSE BILL No. 743.

A bill for "An Act to provide for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the State government until the expiration of the first fiscal quarter after the adjournment of the next regular session of he General Assembly."

A bill for "An Act to amend section 3 of 'An Act to define and regulate boarding homes for children,' approved June 28, 1919."

HOUSE BILL No. 469.

A bill for "An Act to amend section 1 of 'An Act to provide for the visitation of children placed in family homes,' approved May 13, 1905, as amended."

HOUSE BILL No. 567.

A bill for "An Act to amend section 2 of an Act entitled, 'An Act to provide for a firemen's pension fund and to create a board of trustees to administer said fund in cities having a population exceeding two hundred thousand (200,000) inhabitants.' (Filed June 14, 1917.) As subsequently amended."

A bill for "An Act to revise the law in relation to the conservation of game, wild animals, wild fowls and birds in the State of Illinois, and to provide penalties for the violation thereof, and to repeal all Acts in conflict with this Act."

HOUSE BILL No. 795.

A bill for "An Act to revise the law in relation to the conservation of fish, mussels, frogs and turtles in the State of Illinois, and to provide penalties for the violation thereof, and to repeal all Acts in conflict with this Act."
