This edition of the Rules and By-Laws of the Board of Overseers is printed in accordance with votes passed July 12, 1876, and November 29, 1876. RULES AND BY-LAWS OF THE OVERSEERS OF HARVARD COLLEGE. OFFICERS. SECTION 1. The officers of the Board shall be a President and Secretary. SECT. 2. The President shall be elected by ballot, at each annual meeting; and shall hold his office for one year, and until his successor is chosen, if he so long continues a member of the Board. When a vacancy exists at any other time, it shall be filled for the remainder of the term. In the absence of the President, a president pro tempore shall be chosen by ballot. SECT. 3. The Secretary, who may or may not be a member of the Board, shall be |
