I am indebted to Josiah S. Kenerson, of Barnet, Vermont, for the engraving of "Kenerson's Jersey Queen of Barnet," No. 4201, American Jersey Herd Book. This cow was dropped January 2, 1874, and she has the best butter record of any cow in the world. She is the "Maud S." of Cowdom. She made seven hundred and forty-six pounds of butter in the year ending March 15, 1880. She calved May 17, 1881, and from the 20th day of May, 1881, to the 20th day of November, 1881 (six months), she has made four hundred and fifty-nine pounds and one ounce of butter. She made during the week ending November 19, 1881, seventeen and three-fourths pounds of butter.
