BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the eleventh day of September, in the

forty-first year of the Independence of the United States of America, Wil(L. S.) liam Cranch, of the said district, hath deposited in this office, the title of a

book, the right whereof he claims as author, in the words following, to wit:

“ Reports of Cases argued and adjudged in the Supreme Court of the United States, in February term, 1812, and February term, 1813. Vol. VII. By WILLIAM CRANCH, Chief *Judge of the Circuit Court of the district of Columbia. Potius ignoratio juris litigiosa est, "quam scientia.

In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, intituled “ An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned.”
