WEDNESDAY, June 5, 1861.

On the first Wednesday of June, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-one, being the day prescribed
by the Constitution for the Legislature of New-Hampshire to
assemble, the following persons, elected Senators, assembled in
the Capitol, in the city of Concord, in said State. His Excel-
lency the Governor, attended by the Honorable Council, having
come into the Senate Chamber, thereupon they took and sub-
scribed the oaths of office, and were duly qualified as Senators,
agreeably to the provisions of the Constitution, viz.:
